Thomas Lawless

Chief Financial Officer

Thomas Lawless has dedicated his career working for various public sector and mission-driven organizations, focusing on the delivery of high quality and cost-effective health and long-term care services to vulnerable populations. He has more than 23 years’ experience in data warehousing and analysis and extracting data from complex information systems and turning it into actionable information. His background also includes experience in financial analysis and forecasting, pricing, metric development and dash-boarding, budgeting and resource planning.  He has extensive knowledge of federal and state health policy and the development and deployment of health and long-term quality systems.

Thomas joined CGHC in 2015 as Director of Financial Analysis and Planning Budget in charge of development and monitoring, reporting, and data visualization. Prior to joining the company, he began his career with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Long-Term Care. During his 15-year career with the department he held a variety of titles including rate-setting analyst and manager, independent consultant to the Medicaid program, financial services manager and bureau director He was also responsible for management of the division’s IT budget and IT resource deployment. Thomas holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago. He and his wife have three children.
