Bringing More to Our Members: CGHC’s Affiliation with CareSource

CGHC began offering health insurance to individuals and families in 2014, focusing on those without access to employer-sponsored insurance. Since then, CGHC has grown to become one of the largest individual and family health plans in Wisconsin. Our mission of Putting Members First has led to members experiencing world-class service.

Changing regulations and laws associated with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) have added volatility to this market over the past decade. To ensure CGHC’s longevity, we recognized the need for a partnership. Throughout our search, we prioritized maintaining our mission of service as a member-focused, non-profit health plan. With a Board of Directors that was composed of members who purchase our health insurance, the directive was clear: find a like-minded partner that will bring value to members and ensure CGHC continues to serve individuals and families in Wisconsin without interruption.

We are pleased to announce that we have found the right partner in CareSource, a nonprofit health plan based in Dayton, OH. As a mission-driven organization, CareSource is transforming health care with innovative programs that address the social determinants of health, health equity, prevention, and access to care. Our affiliation with CareSource became effective January 1, 2025.

This partnership will allow CGHC to enhance our service to members and strengthen our financial stability, ensuring we can continue to serve the people of Wisconsin. It will also enable us to offer more services and product options moving forward. This search for a partner has always been about you, our members, and we look forward to being your health plan of choice for as long as you need coverage.
