Todd Hutchison brings almost 30 years of health insurance industry background to CGHC. He began his career in Underwriting and Pricing for a mutual insurance company and is excited and enthusiastic about once again working for an organization whose mission includes Putting Members First.

Todd has spent his career overseeing Finance-related activities, much of which has been with provider sponsored health plans. Most recently he oversaw Health Alliance Plan of Michigan’s (HAP) budget, forecast and plan performance activities across its Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Self-Funded business segments, as well as ACA, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid Risk Adjustment activities as their VP of FP&A.

Todd also brings a market-facing perspective, directing Illinois-based Health Alliance Medical Plans activities as their Vice President of Sales and Account Management, and doing the same for The Principal Financial Group overseeing both membership and bottom-line performance for several national regions. It is this blend of all aspects of health insurance performance that Todd will use to help CGHC provide its members with a world class experience.

Todd earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Iowa, and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Drake University. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys traveling, at sporting events and concerts, and tries to fit in time to for exercising, including running, strength training, yoga, and golf.
