As Chief Business Development Officer, Brian is assigned to lead business development, the sales and marketing functions, and provider contracting, as well as contribute to the overall business strategy and success of our organization. Prior to joining us, Brian served as a strategy adviser/consultant to Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative and other healthcare organizations. Immediately before that, he worked nine years for Aurora Health Care in a variety of business development leadership roles. Brian has an undergraduate degree from UW-Parkside and a master of healthcare administration degree from Xavier University (OH). Brian is married with three adult children, and enjoys travel, researching family history and time at the family cottage.

Brian McDonald brings 30 years of healthcare management experience to the Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative Team. He has worked with health systems, managed care organizations and various consulting companies. Throughout his career, Brian’s primary focus has been in business growth and development, strategy creation and realization, and managed care strategies for providers.
